Ari Fleischer Settling In To New Role As Professional Asshole

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer is, according to the man himself, “settling in nicely,” to his new role as a professional asshole. Fleischer heads the group Freedom’s Watch, which recently created a multimillion-dollar ad campaign in support of President Bush’s troop surge. The ads mainly play on Americans’ fears of another 9/11 type terrorist attack.

“Well, I’ve always been an asshole,” Fleischer said. “But when I worked for the White House, I had to follow their script, be their kind of asshole. Now I can be my own kind of asshole. I’m like a free agent. A free asshole. And it feels great.”
