Anchor: Good evening. Tonight a question has emerged: is the health care legislation currently being debated by Congress really out to to choke innocent Americans to death?
A Republican senator says that’s exactly what the intent of the bills is.
Senator Hollander: All of a sudden the bill reached out and put its arms around my neck. I struggled to breathe until managing to free myself with the help of Capitol Police.
I warn the good people of America: these bills are meant to do one thing and one thing only – asphyxiate you.
Anchor: The House version of the health care legislation killed three people and wounded five in a shopping mall in Poughkeepsie yesterday afternoon.

I know exactly what you mean. The last I saw of Grandpa, he was running & stumbling and pushing grandma who was still attached to her colostomy bag in her wheelchair being chased down by a mob of vicious congressmen who were waving some crumpled up sheets of documents of proposed legislation in their fists with fury in their eyes… “run Grandpa…roll Grandma…’cause they’re gone’a git ya and kill ya…run, oh please run!”
Seriously, do I understand this correctly? Rooms full of seniors are screaming hysterically that we’re going to force them into Socialized, Government run Health Care…and make them lose their Socialized, Government run Health Care, which is widely known by the name “Medicare”, that they all have and love and don’t want to lose? The very same program THAT ALREADY has the same language about optional services for help, should they desire it, in making Advance Health Care Directives that the 2003 Republican controlled Congress crafted into law…back in, oh, I guess, 2003? Is that about right?
Excuse me while I stick this ice pick in my ear because I’m going nuts right about now. Does anyone have a spare boilerplate Advance Health Care Directive ‘cause I really need one now so I can use the ice pick.
Comment by Help Us All — August 14, 2009 @You are correct. However, you probably will not be able to consult an Advance Health Care Directive, because that provision has been stripped from the current Senate legislation due to the uproar.

I didn’t know that, damn! Where did I put that ice pick last night, anyway. Does anyone have a spare ice pick, please, I can’t stand this! You can have it back after I’m done, I promise.
What are they going to scare our vulnerable seniors out of next? Shouting Congress down for a provision in the Health Care bill for a right to a sensible drug pricing negotiation provision? I must have misunderstood some of the rumblings coming out of Washington, that according to Obama’s high level White House aids he allegedly already made a “secret deal” with Big Pharma to protect their ongoing right to gouge our own citizens, one that denies just such a right. But that probably didn’t happen because I didn’t see it on TV, yet. I have to admit though, I don’t watch much TV anymore, so I can’t be sure about this. I only heard it from bloggers who have a 100% track record for getting these kinds of things right, so it must just be a false rumor…right?
